Lawrence Lyman, Associate

Lawrence is a public policy professional with more than 25 years of service to the Travis County community. He has extensive experience in community assessment, planning, program design, and evaluation across a wide range of human service issues, with a focus on education and workforce development, the last 9 years as Director of Research and Planning for Travis County Health and Human Services. In addition, he has held several community service roles, including the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Skillpoint Alliance Board, Texas Opportunity Youth Leadership Council, and Community Advancement Network Executive Committee. Since leaving Travis County, he has moved into consulting to support research, planning, and problem solving among community serving organizations. In 2024, he co-led strategic planning for the Community College Association of Texas Trustees (CCATT) with WNT. He has degrees from Rice University (BA) and the University of Texas (MPaff), and ½ of a Master’s in Political Science from Louisiana State University.
