Sam Woollard, Principal
For the last thirty years, Sam Woollard has worked with non-profit, governmental and private funding organizations to establish and coordinate diverse public-private partnerships, create innovative programs, facilitate community conversations, and lead groups to community solutions. Her unique style, which combines strategic thinking, a focus on client outcomes, and patience with process allows her to work with a diverse group of individuals and organizations. She is passionate about making connections that lead to thoughtful and strategic solutions. She recognizes that this means bringing together the heart and the head of an issue and understanding the motivations of all the participants.
Following a long career with a community planning organization, Sam founded her first consulting business in 2007. Her success has included guiding community members toward the establishment of a local homelessness planning coalition, directing a coalition of more than 100 local Executive Directors of nonprofits to successfully work together on common issues, leading a statewide coalition of organizations serving older adults, coordinating successful federal and state grant applications, evaluating the effectiveness of collaborations, and serving as a support and guide to community and nonprofit leaders. She loves the messy work of coalition building and helping guide groups to achieve their desired outcomes.
Sam is a proud UT graduate. She loves the City of Austin and almost considers herself a native having lived there since 1984. With a family that stretches from England to China, travel is an incredibly important part of her life and she loves to explore new places. She is married to Jeff and they spend their time enjoying the daily deer parade in their backyard.
